Documentary meets editorial. Real stories. Honest emotion.

About Annie

Wedding Photographer Serving East Texas

I’m Annie, an East Texas wedding photographer who helps couples feel comfortable, supported, and fully themselves in front of the camera. Your wedding day is personal and meaningful, and my role is to create space where it can unfold naturally.

Weddings throughout East Texas; from Tyler to Longview, family properties to quiet outdoor spaces. Each have their own rhythm. The slower pace, the familiar light, and the warmth of this region allow for the kind of honest moments that matter most. That’s where my focus stays.

With a background in sociology, I pay close attention to relationships, emotion, and the atmosphere of a moment. This helps me understand not just what’s happening, but why it matters — so the photographs feel true, not staged.

My approach is calm and intentional. Using both film and digital, I document the real expressions, interactions, and connections that make a wedding day meaningful. When guidance helps, I offer it. When a moment needs space, I step back. The goal is simple: support the experience so it feels natural, not performed.

For couples planning a wedding in East Texas who want photographs that reflect who they are without pressure or performance I’m here to help you feel seen, comfortable, and confident from beginning to end.

Serving East Texas

My Approach. Art First, Alway

I don’t approach weddings as content.
I approach them as stories worth remembering; with honesty, presence, and care.

Being an East Texas wedding photographer means paying attention to what matters: the real expressions, the small reactions, the way your people show up for you. It’s noticing the glance before the ceremony, the laughter during dinner, and the quiet in-between moments you may not see in the moment but will feel later.

My work isn’t driven by trends or performance. It’s grounded in connection, trust, and a calm approach that lets your day unfold naturally. A blend of documentary and editorial — guided when needed, hands-off when it matters.

I work slowly and intentionally. You don’t have to perform or pretend. You get to be present, and I’ll take care of the rest.

Film is a big part of how I photograph. It encourages intention, attention, and patience — every frame chosen with purpose, every image created to last.

At the core of my work is a simple belief: meaningful photographs come from real moments, not curated ones. From connection, not performance.

If you want your wedding day in East Texas documented in a way that feels natural, honest, and true to who you are, I’d love to help tell that story.

Let’s create something unforgettable.

What it's like To work together

Working with me is simple and personal. I want your wedding photography to feel like an experience, not a production.

When you book with me, you get more than someone showing up with a camera. You get a collaborator who listens, plans, and photographs with intention. Every wedding is different, and my process reflects that.

We start with a conversation. I want to know your story (how you met, what matters to you, and which moments you’re most excited for). From there, we build a plan that feels natural. No generic timelines. No over-posing. Just structure that supports real moments as they unfold.

On your wedding day, my approach is quiet but present. I’ll guide when you need direction and step back when the moment speaks for itself. My goal is for you to forget about the camera and fully live the day, because that’s when the real, emotional imagery happens.

Afterward, you’ll receive a collection that tells the full story, with film and digital working together to create timeless, textured images that still feel like you years from now.

If you’re searching for an East Texas wedding photographer who blends artistry with honesty and puts connection first, I’d be honored to document your story.

If you’re looking for wedding photography that captures the real, the raw, and the beautiful, let’s connect.

East Texas Weddings I've Documented

Rachel & Tom

The Folmar Wedding

Rachel and Tom’s intimate wedding at The Folmar in Tyler, Texas was a joining of lives across oceans. With loved ones gathered from Germany and East Texas, the day felt like a beautiful collision of cultures, connection, and belonging. After exchanging vows under the open East Texas sky, they carried the celebration to Lindale, where laughter, movement, and memory filled the night. A surprise video message from overseas brought everyone to tears; a reminder that love always finds its way home. As an East Texas wedding photographer, it was the kind of day that captures everything I love about this work: honest emotion, real people, and the stories that stay.

Victoria & Grady

Wedding At The Grove

Victoria and Grady’s intimate wedding at The Grove in Tyler, Texas was a quiet celebration of love in its most honest form. From the moment guests arrived, the room carried a warmth that reflected who they are and the life they’re building together. Held indoors, their ceremony overflowed with emotion—joyful tears, knowing smiles, and the kind of stillness that makes time slow down. Surrounded by their closest people, they moved through the day with intention, soaking in every moment. As an East Texas wedding photographer, these are the stories I’m drawn to—the ones that feel real, grounded, and unforgettable.

Hannah + Dlan

A Tahwahkaro Distilling Co. Wedding

Hannah and Dylan’s wedding at Tahwahkaro Distilling Co. in Palestine, Texas was more than beautiful; it was deeply felt. From the tearful first look between Hannah and her brother among backyard wildflowers to the vows exchanged beneath a breathtaking floral arch, every moment carried intention and heart. As night fell, the distillery glowed with candlelight and laughter, the warmth of whiskey barrels wrapping around every guest. It was the kind of celebration that felt grounded and alive, a perfect reflection of who they are. As an East Texas wedding photographer, it’s days like this that remind me why I do what I do—to document emotion you can still feel years later.

Crylsan & Tucker

Kalico Creek Wedding

Cryslan and Tucker’s wedding at Kalico Creek in Tyler, Texas was the perfect blend of spontaneity and softness. What began under the quiet rhythm of rain opened into golden light that made everything feel a little more like magic. Their vows, shared beside the pond and surrounded by lush greenery, carried a calm depth that stayed with everyone there. As evening came, guests gathered for fire-roasted pizza, laughter under string lights, and a sparkler send-off that felt effortless and true. Every part of their day reflected who they are—warm, grounded, and real. As an East Texas wedding photographer, these are the kinds of stories I’m drawn to, where emotion leads and the beauty happens naturally.

I’m Annie

Your East Texas Wedding Photographer

Photography is more than a service — it’s a way of seeing. The most meaningful images don’t simply show how things looked, but how they felt. The quiet squeeze of a hand. The burst of unfiltered joy. The in-between moments that speak without needing words.

Rooted in East Texas, this approach blends documentary storytelling with soft editorial nuance. As a result, your wedding photographs feel cinematic — yet deeply personal. Whether vows are exchanged beneath Nacogdoches oaks, beside a lake in Longview, or among the historic charm of Tyler, the intention stays the same: to capture presence with honesty and care.

Rather than chasing perfection, each frame creates room for truth — for breath, motion, and meaning to rise naturally. Because ultimately, the most beautiful wedding stories aren’t posed — they’re felt.

Your love is singular. Your photography should be, too.

Do you only photograph weddings in East Texas?

East Texas is home for me, but I photograph weddings all across Texas and anywhere in the continental U.S. Travel within East Texas is always included.

Calm, observant, and intentional. I give guidance when it helps and step back when moments need space. My goal is for you to feel supported and comfortable never staged or performing.

Yes. Many of the celebrations I photograph here are small, personal, and family-centered. Whether it’s a backyard gathering, a ceremony at a family property, or something outdoors in Tyler or Longview, the size never matters the meaning does.

I know the light here well the softness in the pine trees, the warmth at sunset, the shaded outdoor areas that work beautifully for portraits. I’ll guide you on timing and locations so everything feels natural and relaxed.

Yes. Film is a core part of my process. It adds depth, emotion, and texture that digital can’t always replicate. I photograph with both film and digital to create a full, honest representation of your day.

Absolutely. Most couples feel that way. You don’t have to perform. I create a calm space where you can relax, be yourselves, and let the day unfold. I guide gently and only when needed.

Yes. I’ll work with you (and your planner, if you have one) to shape a timeline that feels natural and unhurried. Good light matters, and I’ll make sure we plan for it.

To secure your date, a signed agreement and a $1,500 retainer are all you need. After that, I guide you through everything — planning, timeline, light, and the details that help the day feel grounded and comfortable.

Yes. I often work at places like The Folmar, Villa Tyler, Dove Hollow Estate, Mader Farm, and private family properties throughout Tyler and Longview. If you have a specific venue in mind, I’m happy to talk through timing, layout, and what will photograph beautifully.

Let's Create Something Unforgettable

Your wedding isn’t just a day—it’s a feeling. The quiet anticipation before the ceremony, the way your partner looks at you across the room, the unfiltered joy of celebrating with the people you love most. These moments deserve to be captured in a way that feels real, cinematic, and deeply you.

If you’re planning a wedding in East Texas and want photography that goes beyond the expected—images that bring you back, not just to how it all looked, but to how it felt—let’s talk.

Reach out to start the conversation. I can’t wait to hear your story.
